Thats not the usual salary amzn Seattle. Average for Senior Software engineer base is 140-160K + other benefits which comes to 180-210K

The above range is Senior software engineer where exp could vary from 4-8years..

I am just giving you a rough estimate/average. Not denying your friend's salary though

no company in Bay Area gives a annual base salary of 180-200K enta experience aina sare..

they compensate it with shares and others..thats what the above TCs include...

Don’t think so unless your friend is SDE 3. Most of my friends are SDE 2s and making $210- $220K TC with 8-10 years of experience.
