Just saying that not everything in IT is easy. Compare Healthcare to IT and not your average system admin with a doctor. There are many divisions within the industry and there is a hierarchy. Pharmacists, Nurses, Radiologists, Physiotherapists, Physician Assistants and many more come under healthcare. Obviously not everything related to healthcare is tough or requires creativity and therefore the pay difference. If we look at it that way, a top surgeon and a principal engineer are more comparable perhaps.

Almost everyone at my work is married to an engineer. Having the same profession as your husband is kind of boring in my opinion.
