....in the commodity market people are just like items. Software industry skill set is a combination of several things. Most in western world are not after that skill set. So, there is a shortage of labor, which causes demand , which then results in the higher pay.

True, in USA system is built that way. Don’t think it’s the same around the world.

Many capitalist countries follow the left liberal path , like social market capitalism ( search for it) example Scandinavia, Germany.

the only difference is, govts have different priorities. end result is the same. frustration for their smartest people, and encouraging of bullshit institutions with mediocre people heading it.
