Banks here are deferring payments. But they will still charge interest on principal. So mana debbaki kattestham. Mana mukkodu interests lekunda defer chesthe people will be very careless.

Unlike here India lo eviction orders, lease breaking lu ivvani piccha li8888

Akkada situation endi nuvvu cheppe picha kuntla interestlu endi vayya..

In a city like Hyd there are more tenants that owners and they are devoid of any income, think about the greater good, think of daily wage workers, informal sector workers and cab/auto walas. This rule is not so much for well paying jobs as they will have no problem in paying the rents

With interest waiver?

Your loans terms will not change, deferment is not canceled payments but paying it later without any penalties. So your interest rate is intact as long you pay the deferments later

No one  denying their hardship.... Its not ideal to put the administrative/welfare onus on individuals.... what’s the point of having a govt. then? Just to collect taxes?

Govt should come to rescue for those people. I understand the intensity of situation but owners shouldn't be penalised later on with home loan interest rates etc

That’s the problem... when it comes to rents... is he taking the responsibility to collect it from tenants at a later point of time... like he adamantly suggested tenants to call 100 if anyone asks rent... that’s rude and dictatorial....

He is overreaching...

For a country like US is it paying rents for people? All they did is pass a law to stop evictions..as good as saying F you to the landlords.. deferments is a better clause in my opinion
