Two pet cats in New York test positive for COVID-19

The US Department of Agriculture and US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported two cats have been infected with COVID-19, marking the first domestic pet cases in the country. Officials said the virus could have been transmitted to the animals by an infected person. At a White House briefing, Dr. Fauci said there is “no evidence” the virus can spread from a pet to a human.
