USCIS has announced an additional extension of field offices closures and suspension of in-person services until June 4, 2020. Barring an additional extension, USCIS will reopen the first Thursday in June.

USCIS field offices and Application Support Centers (ASC) closed to in-person services in mid-March due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. USCIS recently extended its office closures for at least another month. At this time, the agency’s field offices will remain closed to in-person services, including interviews and biometric appointments. In-person services are currently reserved for emergencies only. Anyone who needs emergency assistance should call the USCIS Contact Center for help.

Individuals with previously scheduled appointments will receive correspondence from USCIS regarding rescheduling their appointments. Applicants whose appointments or naturalization ceremonies were cancelled at a USCIS field office will receive notification from the agency. Interviews cancelled at asylum offices will be automatically rescheduled. Applicants will receive notification from USCIS with a new interview date, time, and location when that information is available. All ASC appointments will be automatically rescheduled when USCIS reopens its offices. Individuals with any other appointment should call the USCIS Contact Center when the agency resumes normal operations to reschedule their appointments.
