@Spartan uncle saying 300k down payment is also not enough because a lot of people are trying to do 500k down payment.

Not worth it man..2Mil home price meeda even if you lose 10% you will lose 200k of your money.. Put that 300k to 500k somewhere in investments and you can double it in 5 to 7 years..Rent for now or move to a city with decent home prices like Atlanta or Dallas..
