Thousands of flamingos create a 'sea of pink' during lockdown in Mumbai

Tens of thousands of flamingos have flocked to Mumbai after India’s nationwide lockdown left the city quieter than usual. According to an assistant director at the Bombay Natural History Society, the flamingos have also been seen in wetlands where they used to be a rarity.

It is rare to see them arrive in such numbers. Clearer skies, quieter streets and cleaner air are thought to have made the usually polluted city more attractive to bird life. — Sky News
