Nice Initiative. I don't get one thing though, when the lock down is winded up they will have to come back real soon right ?

They won't immediately. Probably big hit to construction sector.

Do we have a shortage of people willing to do construction work in the south or people in the south/any other major construction zones in India don't consider it a dignified work to do ? We prefer people migrant workers to have a better hold on those people and pay less compared to locals ?

Don't mistake for being someone who is against migrant workers, it's just that I am very curious why this happens.

Officially 7 lakh migrant labor in Telangana unofficially 10lakh paina untaru, vallu daily 11 trains nadupute 100 days padutadi andaru poniki.. so not everyone will go.

Contruction industry ki green light ichindi main reason to keep them busy..hope it works out.

also a lot of builders asked the government to send them back and after a couple of months they hope that their minds will calm down and they will be back

It's physical hard work which our local people don't prefer. They would rather prefer going to middle East and earn little more with less physical work.

also North labor is cheaper.

its about the money. no one in hyderabad will work for 350rs/day or whatever they pay them for hard labour.

skilled labour also seeks max return for their skills. same as IT workers.

A lot of these migrant labor are skilled labor.. 90% of painting, interior, furnishings, wood work and furniture, granite, cabinetry are being done by these guys. Their modus operandi is they live and work on the site for 3-6 months

strong enforceable borders, and hard immigration policies are counterproductive (including of illegal bangladeshi migrants) simply because of this fact that humans, like all animals will travel to where they can survive and thrive.

this is why patriots are fools. or landowning rent seekers - lazybuggers.

True, do you think we should solve that by forming a coalition like EU and open up borders of countries within the Indian subcontinent ?

So nobody is supposed to own land then or you don't like people who own land ?
