Few details about this guys returns , someone told

Daniel Zanger is the world record holder for the largest annual stock market return.

In December 2000, Dan Zanger shot to prominence when he got featured in a Fortune magazine article, titled “My Stocks are Up 10,000%!”

Dan Zanger holds two world records for the largest portfolio returns of 29000% in 12-month and 164000% in 18-month time periods, respectively. He turned $10,775 investment into $18 million in 18 months, and his portfolio grew to a whopping $42 million in 23 months.

Dan’s humble beginnings and success mantra

Dan Zanger was first introduced to the stock markets in 1976, while working as a full-time pool contractor.

His turning point in life came when he attended a seminar by stock guru, William O’Neil, who became one of his biggest mentors. Over the next two decades, Dan diligently studied chart patterns for over 10,000 hours, learning the ability to pick stocks just before their major price advances.

Riding on his ability to enter stocks at the right time, he became the first unofficial stock trader to achieve 29,000% portfolio return in a year. Rest is history. With this success, he was able to transform from a “pool builder” to a highly successful full-time professional trader.

Dan is an ardent follower of the CAN SLIM investment methodology, coined by William O’Neil. CAN SLIM strategy is discussed in length in Bill O’Neil’s best-seller, ‘How to Make Money in Stocks: A Winning System in Good Times or Bad’. Dan considers the book his bible and has read it multiple times. He still continues to read and reference it.

When Dan was asked about the key to his success, he replied “chart patterns, prices, and volume”. Over the decades, Dan discovered that stocks exhibiting interesting chart patterns on rising volumes often fulfil most if not all of the CAN SLIM criteria. He is of the opinion that volume is the real key and without a strong increase in volume, even the stock with great fundamentals won’t go anywhere.
