The House of Representatives passed the relief package following a vote of 208-199 on Friday, despite 14 Democrats crossing party lines to vote against the bill. The package would expand unemployment programs, provide rent relief and deliver federal aid to local and state governments. The bill, in its current form, is expected to face strong opposition from White House and the Republican-led Senate; however, it may open a window to bipartisan negotiations.
