India and Bharat are both accorded primary status according to the constitution. I mentioned this earlier also. Please read article 1. There is no point in this case asal. India is used for English documents and Bharat is used for Hindi documents (name is sanskrit but used in hindi documents I mean)

Secondly, hindustan (land beyond indus)was a name given by Mughal rulers. So I don't think some would be very happy with this name.

Bangladesh is actually "East Bengal"

Srilanka got its old actual name to reflect their origins and identity.

Your point has no Logic....

India in English is not equal to Bharath in Hindi...

Bharath has our Cultural identity, India is a name given to our Masters during slavery, if we go by it....then we are ignoring our prior History as a Nation....

That is what British claim as well...
