The majority of the historically oppressed classes in India are still oppressed. We are talking about a 'class' of people, not about some lucky ones who made it to the top. 

If you think they are as a population in general are living in luxury then you need to come out from whatever rock you are living under and see the reality.

yes poverty in african american communities is still very high...

but slowly it is changing though

real backward people are tribals man ...  majority of others  are using that card in every situation ...even to vacant their homes whne failed to pay rent on purpose. I saw so many cases
