Kamlakar later said he was told that the Rajan gang members had entered India to eliminate a politician or top businessman.

The IB's plan was ready. One afternoon when Doval was doing a final briefing of the Rajan gang members, Kamlakar's team dashed into the hotel. At that time the three of them were reportedly poring over the blueprint of the Grand Hyatt hotel to determine the best position to install the sharpshooters.

Doval reportedly lost his cool and tried to explain to the cops who he was but Kamlakar arrested Tanasha and Malhotra and took them to Mumbai.

Doval was forced to back off. One of the most audacious operations to eliminate the underworld don unravelled because of an ugly turf war between India's security agencies. The next morning the incident was widely reported in the major national dailies.

Later when asked Doval for his reaction, the super sleuth denied all knowledge and said that he had been watching TV at home at that time. Singh says that India should not be disheartened because one operation did not materialise.

Actually underworld itself has transformed. They are not operative the way they were in 90s. So, Daw00d's way of working also changed. He has amassed huge properties.

But I have also read that he is frustrated with Pak/ISI..

All these will remain stories.. reality is he didn't die with an Indian bullet in his head, at least not till now. Hope modi/doval makes this happen.

If there is any other corrupt politician in India bigger than Chidambaram then it is Sharad Pawar. 

If you remember, he was Agriculture Minister in UPA government. It did not happen by chance but by choice. One can say that Sharad Rao was main brain behind introducing GMO seeds in India. Sharad Rao was a crusader of such unions too until Balasaheb took over bollywood and protected the mumbai real estate and builders after the 1993's crisis. Shivsena was in power from 1995-1999 and this completely changed the mumbai's underworld grip. 9 out of 10 movies were funded by mafia, smuggling, illegal landings, etc lantivi anni Shiv Sena control lo ki vellindi...one can say rise of shiv sena's grip over mumbai started the fall of underworld..
