Its actually the other way...from metros to light rail , mono rail and sophisticated tram systems vaipu  veltundi 

for cities like Vizag, its better to have trams. not the one we saw few decades back but trackless trams which is nothing but an extension of bus..vestibule bus...its very economical and perfectly suits for the price conscious market and fits the feasibility norms.
