KAUST is a really good University and the highest paying for all students and faculty. The culture inside KAUST campus is very different from Saudi in general. They hired a ton of faculty from elite universities paying twice or thrice of their current salaries. Unless your profile is extraordinary, with significant research in bioinformatics with peer-reviewed publications, don't even bother applying.

I see some students in their website from different backgrounds like bs pharmacy get into bioscience/bioinformatics.
