The country's Ministry of Health removed months of novel coronavirus related data including total case count and cumulative fatalities from its COVID-19 website (https://https://covid.saude.gov.br) on Friday. President Jair Bolsonaro defended the delaying and withholding of official data, saying they are being "adapted for better precision."
