2006 lo YSR Govt sold 2000 Cr lands in Raidurg, MyHome and other companies(DLF and Purvanka) bought lands in Raidurgam in an open auction conducted by APIIC.  But it was later discovered that part of the  land bought by these companies was covered under heritage precincts guidelines, due to which they sought alternate land. The then industries minister Dr J. Geeta Reddy approved alternate allocation of land and since the firm had paid stamp duty they requested that stamp duty on registration of the alternate land should be waived(which kiran kumar also agreed - some 200 crore stamp duty).

One fine night, Ponnala dreamed of gaming City on parts of land reallocated to these companies. After Rameshwara Rao protested, Kiran returned the land but before he signed   final orders he lost his job and KCR cleared the file after he took office and this is where oppotion parties started linking Myhome to KCR .

these events are well documented in the news papers then and even Ramesh Rao embraced Ponnala and Kiran Kumar reddy at the inaugural of gaming city to embarrass them.

The transaction will be completed in the next one month and DLF will use the money to reduce its debt further, one of the persons said. DLF has pared its debt toRs 18,500 crore from over Rs 23,000 crore a few years ago, but it hopes to bring this down further to Rs 17,500 cr ..

Neeku ala ardamu ayında. MyHome was big a real estate firm even before KCR took office. I was telling he was one of the most reputed builders in the south. Ikkada many thinking MyHome became a rich guy only because of KCR which is not true. He basically paid APIIC paid 650Cr and waited for 10 years to get his lands ani cheppina

no, they didn't had strong ties back then and he was mostly politically aloof. had it been it would have been widely publicized..their association grew stronger through chinna jeeyar swamy only after KCR got elected to office.

obviously, every government has such entity who is preferential to drive industry like gujarat -Adani, AP- Satyam, KA - Infosys, Wipro. There is no doubt that MyHome got preferential treatment with respect to faster approvals, laying out new infrastructure for their new developments/townships etc and then MyHome would be repaying their gratitude in some way (TV9).
