Chandrababu Naidu says TDP leader targetted for exposing Jagan scams

Following arrest of TDP MLA Atchannaidu, former Andhra CM Chandrababu Naidu hit out at the Jaganmohan Reddy government. Chandrababu Naidu said Atchannaidu was being targetted for of his “fight against the ruling party excesses”.

TDP National President and former Andhra Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Friday accused the Jaganmohan Reddy government of targetting and harassing MLA K Atchannaidu.

Former minister Atchannaidu was on Friday morning arrested by the ACB in ESI scam.

Chandrababu Naidu said Atchannaidu was being targetted because of his “relentless fight against the ruling party excesses and atrocities in sand, land and liquor scams”.

“In an inhuman way, the officials did not allow the TDP leader to take medicines as he was resting at his home after undergoing a surgery recently,” said Chandrababu Naidu on the arrest of the senior TDP leader.

The former CM also asked why the government sent 300 men to raid Atchannaidu residence during midnight hours and without prior intimation to his family members. Chandrababu alleged that police officials not followed rules. “Atchannaidu has not given mines extensions for 50 years like Jagan Reddy. He did not ever unilaterally give water sanctions for his companies like the CM,” Chandrababu Naidu said.

TDP Chief on Friday held an online meeting with party leaders and mandal presidents. Taking a dig at the ruling YSR Congress Party, Naidu said, “The Chief Minister is going out of control and his sadism is reaching new peaks with each passing day.”

“CM YS Jaganmohan Reddy’s frustration is evident because he is not confident of facing debates in the budget session of the Assembly. The ruling party has no valid defence and arguments on the issue of multi-crore, multiple scams in land, sand, liquor, mines, coronavirus kits and bleaching powder scams.”

 

He also alleged that the YCP rule was suppressing the backward classes in the state. “Atchannaidu’s family has got a good name not just in Srikakulam district but all over the State. Jagan Reddy is taking a vindictive action against leaders who are questioning his government's illegal activities.”

He also asked his partyworkers to protest and requested people to display black flags to express their anger.
