No more going to theatres (spending whole day . . . drive, waiting, watching movie, drive back, tired and sleep). . . happily watch at home with mini screen setup as gadgets/devices became dead seap. . . . So no more piracy, so this is one good thing for film makers

OTT is not a solution.

piracy is the final solution. OTT needs subscription that means one can subscribe to max 2-3 platforms. means the producer is restricted by the choice of exhibitors still.

piracy means platform independent.

I wanna see someone make a movie and give it up in revenue sharing model to any platform. may be its a decent start up idea. I mean platform independent payment processor for any streaming service. producer gets the money and then shares an amount with the platform, etc.

OTT over time will develop similar cabal that theatres have now and will dictate the way the industry is structured.

anyway that idea is crap, but OTT is not a solution to this problem. 

the issue is claiming all exhibition rights for the product . I think any platform should be free to exhibit the movies made and share a percentage of money with the producer, or not.

yeah bahubali type movies won't be made. but its a good thing.

piracy is a good thing. both for the filmmakers and the audience. it creates a market in the long term for your product, if it is good/liked.

the current model is just pushing all sorts of bullshit into the pipeline and somehow take as much of our money that we're willing to part to watch crap.
