each person had multiple job offers and demand was high. so people used to jump often

which is why this vendor contractor model came up as clients didnt want to take the headache of finding and maintaining  frequently jumping resources

My uncle came to USA in 1973, to do his Ph.D in agriculture...He was just married and both also bought his wife along with him to USA. Initially went to some university in Houston.  Their only source of income was University stipend starting at $600 per month...Later family size grew and blessed with two kids but his source of income was still the stipend. Aunt used to baby sit fellow Indian kids in Houston for additional income. They were very popular in Houston Indian community in the 80's and one of the earliest members in TANA, kakarla subbi gadi batch.

Uncle Ph.D aipoindi, Monsonto lo udyogam lo cherindu, american dream fulfill chesukunadu...job ragane green card and citizenship..aunt restarted her career and went to medical school and she retired as G.P.

Uncle also retired by mid 2000's. A very popular name in Monsanto and Bayer, was part of research team which pioneered BollGard cotton, Commonly known as BT cotton.

Thanks to this one man, venakla oka 20 mandi america ki vachinaru.

One guy got lucky since his cousin has consultancy and applied for GC in 2008 in opt. I was not even aware that you can file GC in opt. He got it in 2012 when dates moved. He is super super lucky.
