IMF expects the world economy to shrink by 4.9% in 2020

The International Monetary Fund cut its outlook for the world economy on Wednesday, projecting a deeper global recession at 4.9%, compared with the previous 3% seen in April. The IMF said that the recession will be deeper and the recovery slower than it had initially predicted. For the first time, all regions are projected to experience negative growth in 2020.
