Raju Meets Rajnath Singh. What’s Up ?

As the doors are all set to shut for MP and industrialist Raghurama Krishna Raju in YSRCP following his severe statements against Vijay Sai Reddy and the party and complaining to the Election Commission, Raju’s meeting with the Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has gained a huge political significance as this is expected to decide Raju’s future course of action. This is a day after Raju met Speaker Om Birla and EC officials at Delhi.

Naturally, Raju’s meeting with Rajnath Singh became a hot topic in state politics. While AP BJP already has groups – one in favour of CM Jagan and another in favour of Chandrababu and another sailing with Pawan Kalyan, one has to wait and watch, how would BJP deal with Raghurama Krishna Raju who has good relation with BJP and has been loyal to the Lotus Party. In fact, it was BJP which had conferred and honoured Raju with the post of the Chairman of Legislative Committee in the Parliament. Instead of giving such a high post to own party leaders, BJP has entrusted the responsibility with Raghurama Krishna Raju.

Meanwhile, the Show Cause notice to Raju is widely discussed. It’s buzzed in YCP circles that Raju would be suspended soon. However, Raju is unfazed by such speculations. Raju is confident of overcoming this. He is alleging that the Show Cause is not valid as it didn’t have party president and CM YS Jagan’s signature. Raju had gone to the EC and complained of the difference in the name in the letterhead and told EC that the party can’t take action on him. Raju further said YCP doesn’t have a disciplinary committee to take action against him.

Now, Raju’s lobbying in Delhi against YCP is the point of discussion in AP. TDP is also closely observing the developments.
