Very disturbing man. This one came out, but this is the reality in India with a case like this happening everyday across the nation. Not able to sleep after reading the details.

Aunu ra, the whole concept of "Police"  needs to be reevaluated. I feel that it's too medieval for these times. Need innovative replacements for policing to suit the needs of the current society.

Yeah plus they made movies on these asswholes glorifying them and encounter killings, including super hits like Singam inka andulo instalments okati 1 2 3 ani, that and also Saamy.

This is why I was so vocal against people supporting the extra judicial killings of the accused in Priyanka reddy rape case last year in Hyderabad, when most of Indian society was supporting the police for doing those extra judicial killings.

Indian society has become a profoundly sick society man, I feel so sad for this family they lost a brother and a father both brutally sodomized, sexually assaulted and killed in police custody for no fault of their own.

yeah priyanka reddy extra judicial killing and public support for it was insane.. same when dozen TN labourers were killed in Andhra forests under the pretext that they were sandalwood smugglers in 2015

and all these high and mighty TN govt didn't even care. because its own police have killed people by shotting at mobs for decades now, and its all part of the system. A cop I know spoke about it nonchalantly.he said that its andhra's jurisdiction. our job is to profile those who were killed and submit the report.  no one's gonna challenge andhra's claim that they were smugglers ani.

Not just Indian society.. entire south Asian society is sick. Everyone is more interested in playing ethnic, gender, caste, religious one upmanship games, than actually create a free trade zone and grow together. bunch of sick dumbos, for whom cruelty is second nature.

cops just reflect this general trend in their society.

Yes and we try to pretend like we are a very progressive society or a society which is in a state of transformation, while these people support these kind of police acts and use them in a very nonchalant way making comedy scenes of out of these incidents in our movies(custodial torture for example is often a comedy bit in most Telugu movies).

Not saying that they should be totally done away with am I here? We should however ratify the police code of conduct and institute those changes immediately, so these kind of issues don't happen again.

It's about reform not replacing the police system totally

at the moment though, there's lot of noise made on this particular incident. with the high court taking suo motu cognizance and digging up several other cases regarding custodial torture.

I hope the police involved lose their jobs at the very least. 

TN public has turned against the police in a seriuos way. The director you mentioned who made those singham atrocities, himself came and said that he's ashmed to have made films glorifying the police. I don't know if its just a flicker of hope for something better, or just people cashing in on the moment for their 5secs of fame.

its not that easy to go against the police institution though.
