I will just explain why policies won't change please bear with me.

Biden's stand is not like Obama. Period. He falls somewhere close to central than left while Obama was very left.

Obama has his own policy decisions for most of the people living in US. While Obama passed health care reforms for citizens, he also passed DACA, H4 EAD etc.

Biden till date has no policy ideas on his plate, so what will be Biden policy. It will either be 1. Obama's legacy 2. Trump's legacy. 

I would say he will carry 80% of Trump's policies because Biden is warming up to both bases and it will be hard to rescind the amount changes Trump made. Also he promised to implement Sander's policies so there will be some infighting in democrats itself which will make it harder to carry Obama's rules. 

How this will effect H1, GC etc ? The status quo will remain more or less what it is right now. Tech will be regulated, protest will continue getting traction etc. ee time lo tech jobs taggipoye chance undi. Small business ki bokka already padindi

current H1 ban is till Dec 31st, from November to January there is change of power struggle which itself is a big mess. So it's hard to guess whether the EO will be rescinded or extended, whether embassy will open etc.  If the visa thing is diluted, resurrecting it will take time.

2012 election lo Republican Candidate Mitt Romney told that GC will be staple with Master’s degree.  Same horn was blown by Hillary in 2016. I don’t think this would be a reality ever with either parties in power in current state. Since 2006 populistic views took main stage. Both Trump and Biden at this point are catering for populists. Within this scenario I believe only the parties with most capitalistic views have highest chances to help legal immigration than the other. Present Democratic party which is catering to populists and socialists is not a hope for legal immigration (at least for high paid Tech H1bs) compared to Republican party.

What did Trump actually do for h1b? H4 EAD is gone and now there has been a ban on h1b entry until Jan 2021 - which he can easily extend. How will him being elected favor h1bs in anyway when all the evidence suggests that he isn’t really in favor of it?
