Raghurama Krishnam Raju Rebellion Reaching Climax!

The shadow boxing by YSR Congress party MP from Narasapuram Kanumuru Raghurama Krishnam Raju with party leadership is reaching its climax.

As YSRC president and chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy is deputing a delegation of party MPs along with legal experts to see that Raghurama Krishnam Raju is disqualified from the Lok Sabha membership, the latter has also started provoking the party.

On Thursday, Raju announced that he would address the farmers of Amaravati on July 4 to extend his solidarity with them on the completion of their 200 days of agitation against shifting of administrative capital to Visakhapatnam.

He said he would make a speech through video conferencing from New Delhi, extending his support to the agitation of the Amaravati farmers.

“I stand by my demand for continuation of administrative capital at Amaravati,” he said.

Meanwhile, the YSRC leadership has decided to represent to the Central government to remove Raghurama Krishnam Raju from the post of chairman of parliamentary standing committee on subordinate legislation. Jagan is understood to have selected Machilipatnam MP V Balashowry for the post in place of Raju.

As if to counter the move, the Narsapuram MP tried to please Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He wrote a letter to the Prime Minister thanking him for the decision in extending the benefits under the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana till end of November 2020.

“This timely and generous action of the Government of India will, without any traces of doubt, provide much-needed succour to the marginalised and underserved section of the population, facing the ill-effects of the pandemic Covid-19,” he said.

Describing Modi’s announcement as a farsighted action with innate ability, Raju said it is bound to have the desired impact on nearly 80 crore less fortunate brothers, sisters and children.

“I am positive when history chronicles this period, it will remember you as a Man with Kindness that had the larger good of all in mind while making consequential decisions,” he said.
