Covid testing in Telangana

Recommended Posts

Somethings go behind the doors and are not politicized published in the national interest(this only came to the fore after BJP(JP Nadda) played dirty blaming state government for less testing ). Roche Cobas 8800 is an advanced machine which is capable of testing upto 6000 tests/day(one of kind in India) bought by Telangana after the pandemic broke out but was diverted by ICMR/PMO to Kolkatta after it arrived in the Chennai port from Germany.

PMO diverted this to Kolkata initially procured by TS govt. letter dated 30/05/2020.

Let’s Just say if this was installed as planned on 6/06, 28days * 6000 = 14400tests 🤔🤔

Unna daridram lo idi saladu annatu AP divison time Ap ki 265 TRUNAT TB testing machines pote Telangana ki 90 odd some machines vachinayi, TRUNAT is used for TB testing and now being repurposed for COVID testing but has only capacity to conduct lesser tests (few hundred tests In 3 batches). AP further  added 90 TRUNaT after the pandemic broke but Telangana instead ordered the more advanced Cobas 8800,now it now has to wait few more days/weeks until Roche sends them a new machine albeit now they are managing TRUNAT machines and testing to the capacity. The new machine is expected in few days as per Etela

The whole issue in the media was managed By private lobby apart from opposition parties.

Private hospitals are a double edged sword. Too many false positives. It is a money game, some need it genuinely but most are being admitted for no reason.

arogyasri may be one other thing that made government reluctant to pass the order(still not approved for arogyasri)

do you think hanumanth rao and md Ali can discharged in 4 days after testing covid +ve? I highly doubt if they were positive to begin with. Md Ali is also an astama patient

Hope more testing will be done by tg govt. Hyd is densely populate area. More TTT must be done

Ninna director of public health cheppina prakaram private hospitals ki 8k capacity unnadi and Govt labs ki 4k unde but improved to 6k now. See staffing is also an issue(some of these machines have to be run in 3 shifts without an advanced option). But the greed for more money is making private labs/hospitals doing the tests double their capacity and raising doubts on sample contamination and improper testing

I think MD Ali went for astama check up and he came to know that covid +ve.  For him covid might be in mild stage .
In Hanumanthu case also same. Just after Knowing the test result it self he joined in apollo.
All we know how private hospitals treat celebrities ...they will take some extra care and charge extra bill.

It Depends on condition and can be done as per revised ICMR discharge guidelines... VH was in Hosp for around 10 days.

The new discharge policy for COVID-19patients?

For mild/very mild/pre-symptomatic cases

  • Patient can be discharged after 10 days of symptom onset and no fever for 3days
  • No need for testing prior to discharge
  • Patient will be advised to isolate himself/herself at home & self-monitor his/her health for further 7 days

For moderate cases

  • Patient can be discharged (a)if asymptomatic for 3 days and (b) after 10days of symptom onset
  • No need for testing prior to discharge
  • Patient will be advised to isolate himself/herself at home & self-monitor his/her health for further 7 days

For severe cases

  • Clinical recovery
  • Patient tested negative once by RT-PCR (after resolution of symptoms)

They are mentioning how they are to be monitor themselves after discharge this is followed all over India... Thing they don't want Mild symptom/asymptomatic people to block the beds at isolation centers/hospitals.  Only Severe cases are given full period treatment.

Unless you have Covid Jumbo facilities like Mumbai & Delhi are having all can't be admitted...

One thing where Etela failed in not using the lockdown opportunity to strengthen health infra in districts rather centralized every thing in Hyderabad including testing and treatment. Now they are correcting it by offloading the options to Karimnagar, Nizamabad, Warangal and Nalgonda

Well, a special 1500 bedded center was setup in Gachibowli and it is now non-functional. So...
