Canada suspends extradition treaty with Hong Kong in response to China's new security law

On Friday, the Canadian government announced that it will no longer allow people to be extradited to Hong Kong and will block the export of sensitive military goods to the former British colony. The decision comes in the wake of a new national security legislation that China has imposed on Hong Kong.
