Where do international students who have always called America home go now

Here’s a question for the Donald Trump administration: How do you send student visa-holders “back home” if their home is America?

Children of those on H-1B in the US have to forego their H-4 dependent visa once they turn 21, and often switch to F-1 or M-1 student visas to continue living with their parents in the US.

But the Trump administration’s recent decision to disallow students whose course load has moved online amid the Covid-19 pandemic to avail these visas has put such students in a spot.

Why would or should a student call America their home when he is on student visa? He is neither a citizen nor a GC.

H1Bs live in US as long as they have work to do and pay taxes. No work - no status - no stay - it’s not a picnic. When universities are making all their courses online, there is no point in allowing people come to US or live in US just to take online courses.

if you own a company doing software development and hire a dev to work on a project for 6 months paying him 100k, why would anyone keep him paying him salary after the work is done and the project is finished - just because he has a family and kids? No client keeps a contractor or FT when there is no work - it doesn’t work like that in US as it may work in India with influence and office politics to slide the guy under payroll even when there is no work. There is always close monitoring, scrutiny and explanations to be made in US.

Trump is doing some things right and sane. People are spoilt by what some previous incompetent presidents have done or not done. There is a kind of welfare system in US similar to reservations in India and people feel entitled to things.

Home is where the heart is, you don't have to find paperwork to prove where home is. Besides, they don't have anywhere else to go because their parents live in the States.

Not being rude but this is ridiculous. Being a visa holder you still hold the passport of some country that’s your home. It’s the irresponsible attitude of the visa holder to dump their home country for America just hoping to live in America forever and now blaming the government for their lack of proper planning.

India is not a country of continuous war to not go back so people should not dump it and then blame America that had provided them opportunities to earn.
Visa holders particularly from India will always have a home in their own country to go back. It’s just their stupid attitude that needs to be fixed first.
F1 visa is still a visa opportunity to stay and improve their lives in America. These people will never be thankful for anything and providing Permanent residency for these  selfish people is not good for America.

Why are they not demanding things to their home country politicians  that improves their own country and wanting everything in America which is not even their own country but provided them equal or better career  opportunities
