Navagrahalu and their scientific accuracy

These celestial bodies are named Surya (Sun), Chandra (Moon), Mangala (Mars), Budha (Mercury), Brihaspati (Jupiter), Shukra (Venus), Shani (Saturn), Rahu (North Lunar Node) and Ketu (South Lunar Node). 

Question: Among those, Sun is not even a planet it's a Star. Moon is not a planet either, a natural satellite. 

Why is the order of planets jumbled? Mars before Mercury, Jupiter before Venus etc. What about Uranus, Neptune and Pluto?

I listened that there is some curse on brihaspati by goddess parvati that only half(or some fraction, not sure) of the astro things will be true.. how much expert the person looking them be.

first of all, we have to agree that there was some legitimate science and astronomical works in ancient India, but they were lost in petty squabbles, while western civilizations worked on them continuously perfecting their science.

after 2000yrs now to bring up ancient Indian astronomy both as an object of veneration and as an object of mockery is totally pointless.

Indian knowledge was lost. and the current Indians should try to build on what's is available in the modern world than trying to romanticize as if India was the center of universe back then.

ee navagrahalu anevi  human psyche and soul ni batti namakkam form avthundi depends on his unconscious/ subconscious patterns

if we believe in it, then you were going to strengthen the soul.

if we don't care about them, living in reality makes sense.

I never mocked about anything here, it's a honest question that I've been trying to find answers to. 

I do understand the scientific basis behind some of our beliefs, my question was geared more towards the fact that when these planets were classified we e still haven't had powerful telescopes that could account for the ones missing in the list. But with the addition of those, shouldn't these navagrahalu be re arranged as well.

Also wasn't sure about the reason behind the jumbled order of hierarchy.
