Telangana peasant movement against razakars will qualify, but it was short lived and was restricted to one region. several other small insurgencies happened in small scale in bengal around 1920s to 40s leading to partition.

no I was just comparing them to world war and US independence you mentioned... they are also not against the rulers, just like separate TG state movement and kargil war...

world war isn't just a war. it had changed social structure in Europe.. World war one destroyed aristocracy in Europe, and led to Russian revolution..

world war 2 led to destruction of fascism in Europe.
