An important point to keep in mind is that there are two dimensions to the immune response: antibodies and T-cells..

“Everybody is focussed on antibodies but there is a growing body of evidence suggesting that the T-cells response is important in the defence against coronavirus.

not all of the many vaccines under development across the world increase both antibodies and T-cells. But the Oxford vaccine looks as though it has this twin effect.

If the Oxford vaccine is proven effective, it could go into mass production as early as September.

nuvvu koncham ekkuva build up isthunnav. mass manufacturing of drugs is not rocket science. the question is, will India get the rights to manufacture it.

So you mean, to administer 1.3 billion doses to its citizen, India will import from other countries ?

Coming to rights to manufacture, all most all the trails that are happening now except for the one’s in China and Russia, They have an Indian partner...Moderma is yet to confirm but it seems they are in talks with Biocon ..

this indian partner thing, or that India can scale up manufacturing of these drugs don't impress me.

I just care at what price it is available. better if its totally free paid for by the govt.

This seems tough

India will again conduct clinical trails on that particular vaccine.

Every other country will test that vaccine on their people.

All these takes time.

Inventing a Vaccine is different.

But Acceptance,Success rate, Adverse effects,Production of vaccines in bulk takes much more time.
