India becomes the third country to record one million COVID-19 cases

After recording a spike of nearly 35,000 COVID-19 cases on Friday, India became the third country worldwide to reach the milestone of one million, after the US and Brazil. There have now been 25,602 deaths, the eighth-highest global count.
