Bruce lee Vs Tyson

Tyson would win.

Martial arts are for self defence.  MMA fighters use deadly force. per pound force for each punch is greater for boxer compared to martial arts performer. Just one punch connect ayite chalu Lee would be in trouble.

The real issue is the difference between the disciplines. Assuming that both were, at the very least, "pretty good" at their discipline, the martial artist wins. Boxing is a sport, not a system of self defense. Granted, a good boxer would be able to handle himself quite well against most people, he would have a hard time fighting the martial artist. The training is very specific to the sport. Mike may not "want" to resort to his "boxing style" in an actual fight, but that is where his muscle memory has been trained.

From personal experience, I've switched from an organization that would not allow attacks below the knee to one that would not allow attacks to the head. I went from being very competetive to being terrible. I've also seen others make the opposite switch with similar results.

Boxers rely on blocking big gloves with big gloves for their defense....and they don't have a single defense trained for blocking the legs. Also, their stance when they fight cannot account for a foot sweep. This is why boxers tend to stand toe to toe, jab to get through a defense, and then unleash a combination. Martial artists tend to stand further apart and rely on more of a timed lunge as they attack. Even in UFC, the grapplers stand back until they get their opportunity to charge.....which brings up the issue of grappling. Yes, the grapplers win in UFC. Bruce Lee was also skilled in Ju Jitsu and Judo. Tyson was not. Though Tyson has the weight advantage, Royce Gracie has proven that it only takes skill to out grapple a big man.

Of course, all this is for naught if you truly believe Bruce was nothing more than a dancer.

Anyway, as i said before, I speak from experience, though I will post this question on my fighter's board and let you know what they think.

People here who are talking about that "one knock out punch" Tyson is gonna give bruce Lee are totally rambling out of their minds, guess they got their facts from watching too many Rocky type movies.

Bruce Lee won't be standing there without doing anything to let Tyson punch him, another thing you guys totally ignore is the balance needed to land that one punch that can knock him out. Tyson needs to set himself up in a way where his balance is perfect for him to deliver that knockout punch, don't forget how fast Bruce Lee was. The cameras had to be slowed down to record the speed of his movements, he would not only escape that one knock out punch you guys talk about but would use every part of his body to actively deliver blows to Tyson during that time. Remember that while a boxer uses his fists as the weapon, a martial artist uses every part of his body as a weapon to deal with the opponent.

If Tyson resorted to using his legs as weapons the way Lee does, he would totally be off balance not to mention won't get the momentum to land his knock out punch.

Are you saying that a boxer uses his fists only in a battle?

That's his strength, is he trained to use every part of his body like a street fighter or use his fists which can cause the most damage?

Except for his punch, a boxer who is at the top of his game has no advantage over a martial artist at his best.

Bruce Lee's student Dan Inosanto now owns the Oakland, Calif. Jeet Kune Do dojo in Oakland, Calif. He kicked the out of Sakuraba and a few other top-name UFC and MMA guys. And Insanto freely admits that he wouldn't be able to hold a candle to Bruce Lee. When Bruce Lee was alive, Chuck Norris licked his balls. Now that he's dead, Norris says Bruce Lee wasn't . Whatever. The self-promoting Norris was just trying to promote his street cred.

There are three fully accredited JKD dojos in the USA: Oakland, Seattle, and Grand Junction, Colo. The others might be decent in their own right but are still considered knock-offs. To advance a belt in Jeet Kune Do, one must earn four belts simultaneously because it harmonizes four different martial arts. One of those is that nasty ju-jitsu style grappling and choking, so Jeet Kune Do practitioners are quite proficient at ultimate fighting and Bruce Lee was the best. Bruce Lee was considerably more skilled than today's Ultimate fighters, and he would have made Tyson look silly.

This is DUMB to even compare two different methods. You could compare Lee with Jackie or Jet Li instead.

Tyson as a boxer can only use his hands to punch and his body weight prevents from moving as fast as Lee to defend himself.

Lee as a martial artist can use all his limbs and body to defend and offend and Lee is super fast.

No chance for Tyson.

if at all, there was a generic fight b/w bruce lee and mike tyson , who do you think will win ??

#BruceLee can evadu punches for such a long time that Tyson will collapse himself

weight/stamina is only one side of power, real power comes from breath control and Bruce Lee is miles ahead, not even worth a competition

do you ever see adult fighting with an infant..never
