It won't work in the long run. Pay per view was already tried and the model failed. Even before the era of Netflix

May be you can point to similar failures in theatrical releases too. And I can't argue with that.

But I dont think it's feasible for people to keep up with multiple apps. Ultimately it will be dominated by platforms not standalone apps
