Being A Hardcore Fan Is A Mental Disorder

Birthday celebration of Tollywood film stars on social media has become a trend now.

The virus of favoritism has gradually mutated that the fans of star heroes started trending #50DaysToHisBirthday and #100DaysToHisBirthday trends on social media. The majority of the netizens have started accepting it as a common thing these days.

The fans those never celebrate the birthday of their parents will jump forward to celebrate their favorite hero's birthday.

Birthday celebration of star heroes is not a new phenomenon and it has been there from many decades. Earlier, the fans used to  erect some cutouts and advertise on wall painting about their favorite hero's birthday.

Some of them used to do blood donation and some of them used to do charitable works on the occasion of their favorite star's birthday.

Now the trend has been changed and people started doing many things including trending birthday hashtags on social media before 50 days and 100 days. They have also started trending anniversaries of their favorite star's movies.

Experts say that Literacy rate has got nothing to do with this "hardcore fan sydrome". It is a mental need of low self esteemed people, as per some psychologists.

Dr Naveen, a Psychologist says that this is nothing but an act by the people who have low self-esteem and low EQ.

He is coming up with some good examples to prove the point.

He says, "Many people don't have personal goals and they do not achieve anything in their whole life. So, they start depending on a film hero who achieves great things in life.

These fans identify themselves with the hero and start doing some things to attract the attention of fellow fans who are on the same page with them.

They get huge satisfaction in getting recognition as a special fan from fellow fans".

#50DaysToGo, #100DaysToGo birthday trends, one year anniversary of movies fall in the same category.

The heroes indirectly encourage these fans for their selfish motive.

On the other hand, it can be understood that some star directors and producers who have much higher IQ and EQ than the stars, keep manipulating these stars. They trap them with their sychophancy.

We can understand the situation of these directors and producers because it is their professional need/requirement to be in the good books of the stars to get opportunities. But they indirectly promote the culture of following the stars blindly.

Whereas fans get nothing with their sychophancy. When intelligent directors and producers talk great about a hero, the fans automatically think their favorite star is the most intelligent and gifted person in the industry.  But the reality will be completely different.

Unless the heroes don't change, the fans will not change. Liking some person is different from becoming a chauvinist of a hero is a sign of low self esteem. Youth should come out of it and set bigger goals and achieve in personal level.

One should be the fan of oneself to see a strong society.
