Can someone please answer these questions:

1) While OPT is being processed, can someone leave the country?

2) If my wife wants to come to US after my OPT is approved, which visa should she apply for?

3) Can she apply for the visa when my OPT is being processed? If yes, which one?

Thanks.

OPT lo travel cheyochu but its the discretion of the immigration officer to let you in;

right after you claim you graduated from school its becomes their prerogative to let you in, ppl have managed to travel while on OPT provided they have proper i20 and visa stamping while returning back.

1) Yes but risky. Some CBP officers might ask more questions and may deny entry. Legally you can travel

2) Your OPT is irrelevant to your visa/status. She needs F2 visa

3) Yes and again F2.

OPT is not a status but work authorization. Your status will remain F1 and your wife should go for F2 visa regarless of where your OPT application is
