mostly capitalists won't let this happen because then the power dynamics seriously change and they won't be in charge anymore. most likely there will be protracted war... either civil war with govt backing the rich and middle class and a bunch of pirates becoming terrorists.

and when all this blows up... and there's some kind of truce that is advantageous to the powerful... humanity will start a new chapter. post human one. 

moarly humans will get busy with exploring the universe, or spend their time pleasuring themselves in some way. I really don't see the point of people working to survive when they don't really have to.

much better things to do if you have the imagination and curiousity to do it.

when people figure out that they don't really need to work to survive, they wont work. They just need to control some resource and exchange it for what they want with other groups.

yes. so there will be a couple decades of slavery and after that a huge rebellion in which the slaves and chamchas will be caught in the middle. 

the key is, how much tech proliferates to the lowest person in the chain. and every bit of it will be used against the structure in innovative ways that the system can't even perceive of.

ultimately the rebels won't win, but will scare the system to dial down and ask for truce. middle class that doesn't take sides is just roadkill in this. lol.
