even though my parents dont have any financial issues, i make sure send them money periodically. I know this is the same case with many of my friends & relatives.

If you've observed, once a guy gete married,  he hardly agrees with his father in any matter, don't share any plans may be scared of wife , do not talk heart-to-heart with father, but with mother its different. But its father who has earned all that property we're talking about. In most of the cases i've seen men prefer to discuss his plans or issues with in-laws or friends, but not father.
