he changed a lot later though

India had a terrible lower middle order and a worst lower order... there were many instances where the last 5 batsmen couldn’t even score 50 runs... the game plan then was to not expose the lower middle order until the last 10-15 overs so that they can come and hit the ball.. 

remember the famous Chennai test match with Pakistan... we could not score 15 runs with the last 4 wickets and lost the match..
