The death of a Plano woman is being investigated as a homicide, and police say a person of interest is already in custody on a burglary charge.

Plano officers were dispatched around 7:15 a.m. Saturday to Legacy Drive and Marchman Way to check on a woman who appeared to be lying down near Spring Creek. The woman, identified as Plano resident Sarmistha Sen, 43, was pronounced dead at the scene.

A person of interest in Sen’s death is already in the Plano City Jail on a burglary charge, police said. The investigation is ongoing.
