ఏపీలో శిరోముండనం ఘటనపై స్పందించిన రాష్ట్రపతి

న్యూఢిల్లీ: ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్ తూర్పుగోదావరి జిల్లా సీతానగరంలో దళిత యువకుడు వరప్రసాద్‌కు శిరోముండనం ఘటనపై రాష్ట్రపతి రామ్‌నాథ్ కోవింద్ సీరియస్‌గా స్పందించారు. ఫిర్యాదు అందిన 24 గంటల వ్యవధిలోనే స్పందించిన కోవింద్ ఘటనలో బాధితుడికి పూర్తి స్థాయిలో సహకరించాలంటూ ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్ జనరల్ అడ్మినిస్ట్రేషన్‌లో అసిస్టెంట్ సెక్రటరీ ఏ జనార్దన్ బాబుకు ఫైల్ ట్రాన్స్‌ఫర్ చేశారు. నేరుగా జనార్దన్ బాబుని కలవాలని వరప్రసాద్‌కు రాష్ట్రపతి కార్యాలయం ఆదేశించింది. శిరోముండనం ఘటనపై పూర్తి స్థాయి కాల్ రికార్డులు, వీడియో క్లిప్పులు, కాల్ రికార్డింగ్‌లతో వరప్రసాద్‌ జనార్దన్ బాబుని కలవనున్నారు. మరోవైపు రాష్ట్రపతి స్పందనపై శిరోముండనం బాధితుడు వర ప్రసాద్ హర్షం వ్యక్తం చేశారు. రాష్ట్రపతి జోక్యంతో తనకు న్యాయం దక్కుతుందనే భరోసా ఏర్పడిందని చెప్పారు. 

 

తూర్పుగోదావరి జిల్లా సీతానగరంలో వైసీపీ నేత ఫిర్యాదుతో వరప్రసాద్‌ను పోలీసులు అరెస్ట్ చేశారు. తీవ్రంగా గాయపరచడంతో పాటు పోలీస్ స్టేషన్‌లోనే శిరోముండనం చేశారు. ఘటనతో మనస్తాపం చెందిన బాధితుడు నేరుగా రాష్ట్రపతికి లేఖ రాసి ఆవేదన వ్యక్తం చేశారు. దీనిపై తక్షణమే స్పందించిన రాష్ట్రపతి బాధితుడికి పూర్తి స్థాయిలో సహకరించాలని ప్రత్యేక అధికారిని నియమించారు.
