I have a doubt about ancient Hindu scriptures. I think we should look at Ramayana as a novel, rather than a sacred book. So, based on this novel, I am trying to understand why people call Seeta as a Goddess. From what I understand, Seeta is an incredibly beautiful woman, who was loyal to her husband even in the face of adversity. Is that all it takes to be a Goddess, to sit around and look pretty, and be loyal to your husband? What did Seeta do that other princess haven't done? Is it because she had to separate from her husband for 13 or so years? Or is it because she left to the forest with her husband? Why is she a Goddess? I am trying to understand the character arc of Seeta, so don't bring any butthurt comments about religion.

affirmative action ki against ga post chestunnav, why do you have a problem with people deifying a wive's loyalty to her husband in a sacred book that was written thousands of years ago when cultural norms were quite different and feminism was not a thing?

malli butthurt comments about religion cheyoddani commenting okati.. baga kaalinattundi neeku affirmative action ki vacchina response ki 😂

see this video if you have time...  may address your specific questions.

I heard Chaganti's pravachanaalu already. I still don't understand what she did in her life besides be loyal to her husband. I understand why I went into fire, to prove her sanctity. I also understand why ramudu asked her to go into the fire, even though he trusts her, he doesn't want people to take behind her back. Idanta ok, kani ila loyal ga chala mandi untaru kada, what makes her special.

I think the point is to respect women as Goddesses, even if they do nothing in their life. That's what she said.

I think the fire is more a symbolic gesture. E kalam lo evaru mantallo vellina kalipotharu. Seeta said that she is not strong enough to protect herself and it is the responsibility of Rama to protect her, which is a very weak argument IMO. Ayina if women are raped, they don't loose sanctity ani scriptures lo undi ra, I don't understand why they had to potray Seeta as such a weak character only to show how strong Rama is.
