It is that USPS is being exploited by private firms because of cheap rates it offers.

ok...what trump did for whole situation? instead of threatening USPS funding for his election benefit?

He is trying to increase the shipping fees to make it similar to UPS and FedEx, because private firms are charging more than USPS, and USPS is in financial losses.

can you post any news links telling he took action or asked postmaster general to make a new contract?

Actually Amazon deal isn’t bad for usps and pretty soon the last mile delivery will be taken over by them either thru drones or robots.

USPS is in losses because of how much Amazon is exploiting them. I know this personally, a bunch of my friends are in reselling for Amazon, they are making a ton of money, while USPS is in losses.

also, country side people are more dependent on usps. thats where most of the republican voters live. If anything he should strengthen the postal service but trump cant do sh1t.

He appointed a guy to head USPS, he tried to increase the fees but multiple states are trying to sue USPS because it's before elections and the democrats think poor people cannot vote.

Country side lone USPS cannot be sustainable, because they don't have the man power to make it sustainable because of the low fees that charge.

Terms of the Postal Service’s delivery deal with Amazon are confidential, however USPS has repeatedly said it doesn’t lose money on the agreement. In addition, the post office must cover its costs in its commercial package delivery business under the law. Amazon regularly uses the postal service to complete what’s called the “last mile” of delivery.
