arsene did offer him a contract extension. he was set to go because he could not get play time. if west bromwich used him well, he would have stayed maybe. injuries did not help too

Never discount Bayern doing things behind the scenes. They have a history of tapping up German talents and asking them to audition for them at other Bundesliga clubs.
