That's because of our existing infra and close proximity to Chennai auto hub. 

Do you know that state government does not provide anything like water / current / roads inside Sri city ? Everything is handled by the SEZ .  To escape government bribes they lease out land in SEZ

Our literacy , per capita , GDP , HDI  is far behind that of Tamil Nadu  , just having some status for ten years won't solve any of these issues .
