Dropped the idea of buying home

The Feds announced that the interest rates are going to stay low for the next decade or so. Any country with low interest rates, property prices have sky rocketed. Look at Europe or Canada or Singapore or any other country with low interest rates. If you don't buy now you will regret down the line..

20% pedithe PMI akkarledu. Some lenders do without PMI even if you don't have 20% down. All other 3 options are always true. India lo 2 and 4 leva enti?

Life shouldnt be stopped expecting situations not in your hand.

1. PMI money = 20% or even less aithe no PMI

2. Property taxes  = you will never buy a house in this life time....because property taxes will never go away. edo koncham atu itu ga thaggochu but usually it keeps increasing yr by yr so dont wait for property taxes to go down....rather move to low property tax states

3. uncertain immigration situation = ila wait chesi wait chesi, weight periginam and obese kuda avthunnam kani immigration mathram alane undi....its better dont keep hopes on immigration and then plan for house....eppatiki konalemu

4. uncertain jobs  = this is on going for entire life....even if you are US citizen.

I bought my first home with 10% down payment and I paid PMI for one year. Almost 4k for PMI for that year. Then put up another 40k to reach 20% and changed 30yrs fixed to 5/1 arm.

Nenu 20% down payment ki wait chesi untey same house ki 200k extra pettalsi vachedi.

Off course everything depends on the area. If the appreciation is good, just go for it.
