no. Russia was never communist, in the way Marx defined communism.

Russia under lenin had worker co-ops that engaged in free market, and that is the closest Russia came to communism. After world war 2, this was replaced by command control style production where workers lost all their rights to production.

If you want worker co-ops, they exist in so many places in the world now. especially south america. venezuela has them, parts of mexico does, peru does. move there. 

but its still not communism. and they are all a very small part of the economy. for example venezuela's private industry accounts for more than 60% of the economy (way higher than India), and these co-ops about 1-2% and mostly in rural areas.

as bad as capitalism is, you can still defeat it in some small way with your everyday actions. 

eventually capitalism either collapses or changes itself to suit the reality of the market that your actions create.

so leave all your frustration to dbs, and work on your own stuff. you can easily make a living wage if you are single these days.

watch the movie matrix for inspiration. don't feel sorrry for the people around you. they don't deserve your sympathy, and don't have any for you. 

work to undermine the system, undermine those who work with you and support the system. work to undermine your relatives who are slaves to the system. work.
