First extension ayipoyi, who are thinking about second extension etc.....

Nenu USCIS ki first extension apply chesetappudu, I requested 9-months. (this is first time extension apply for B1-B2).

March 23rd applied, but only recipt notice vachindi, and 6 months period was about to end in October.

since extension ki inka reply raledu kabatti, i called them. here is what they said.

 ---> the extension will be granted, based on the date which you have requested. (in my case i requested for 9 months instead of 6 months due to uncertainity). He said yes that will work as long as it is what requested.

--> due to late re-opening of USCIS office, the bio-metric appointments will come late, so they will honor the date requested , rather than default 6 months otherwise.

 

I asked them, then what about  re-entering to US in future, would the visitor be scrutinized. He mentioned as long as you have the proper documentation and I-539 applications/approvals there wouldnt be any issue.

 

I saw couple of folks from DB who were looking into this second extension, so call USCIS and get your options.

re-entry is luck man....na neighbor valla parents ext apply chesaru but didnt stay full 6 months, I think 3 months anthe and left to India. Came back again after 6months, POE lo warning icharu anta...extn apply chesaru and now coming back so soon ani....they did allow with a warning and they said they are entering this info in their system. Malli extn apply chesina, or short gap lo malli back US vachina, we will revoke your visa annaru anta.

for some others, they extended, came back soon and doing it since few yrs and still no issues........so pure luck anthe
