Electric cars are really harder to mass produced..especially the batteries ... They are very expensive to manufacture..

thats exactly why Tesla have to watch out.....tesla makes shitty build cars....great tech(other than FSD) n batteries can be replicated by anyone

VW/Ford/Chevy already entered in full scale..........they will ramp up production like anything......VW ki iythea after diesel issues this is their golden chance laga use cheskuntunaru

used to think the same way... tesla software and system integration is so ahead of competition - like Google vs rest. No other can compete as none of them have same engineering resources. I wished couple of big companies work with Google out of necessity but i don't see deep integration. Ex: Tsla built custom navigation on top of Google maps, who has resources to do that ? Most of them outsource entire infotainment. 

Same can be said about battery. 

Same with vertical integration - they own everything from sales, marking to after sales support. 

They publish multiple updates to car software in a month - i own / owned volvo/bmw/mb - all latest cars in last 3 years - zero updates and their software is so outdated. even the MB EQS reviewed above is suffering from same - software is bad.

 ID4 first release version is sold out in 10days 

software issues can always be resolved, i dont see isssues there.....i dont think ford is that stupid to loose 100s of millions, instead if spending 10s of mils fixing issues.....but im not talking about FSD here

400+ cars...if they can't sell 400 cars with all that brand image ..

yup you are correct......but VW sold lot more EVs in Europe, more than teslas in 2020 

and they have just entered Americas, with their best EV 

 

ya i think 2021 should tell a good EV story....with Hyundai/KIA/VW/Ford/Chevy/(Rivian/Lucid) all being in market with decent to good range n priced cars.........lets see how Tesla keeps up 

Tesla beat the Q1 deliveries....hope that continues

Nissan leaf had more sales than tesla ! Used cars sales compare chesthe kooda nissan leaf sells more used cars than tesla.. 

 

Actually leaf is a good electric car...better than vw..
